The 11-Day Mount Kenya Trek and Masai Mara Safari Combo offers an extraordinary adventure, encompassing some of Kenya’s most captivating outdoor experiences. Starting with sightseeing in Nairobi, the tour begins with a challenging climb to the summit of Mount Kenya, the second-highest mountain in Africa. The five-day trek will take you through breathtaking landscapes and diverse terrain.

The trek commences from Chogoria town, where you’ll drive to Mount Kenya forest with our experienced crew. During the 10km walk to the Meru Mt. Kenya Bandas campsite at 2,950m, you’ll acclimatize and have the opportunity to spot animals along the way. On a clear day, the views of Mugi Hill, Ithanguni, and the majestic peaks of Mount Kenya from Chogoria gate are awe-inspiring.

The preferred route for most climbers is the Sirimon Naro-Moru route, which leads to the summit at Point Lenana (4,985m). This route combines the scenic trail to Sirimon with a quick and straightforward descent via Naro-Moru, making it a perfect choice for trekking Mount Kenya.

Mount Kenya’s beauty lies in its snow-capped peaks and forest-covered slopes. As an extinct volcano, it offers a diverse landscape of woods, moorland, stone, and ice. The mountain is crowned by the glistening twin peaks of Batian (5,199m) and Nelion (5,188m). The climb to the summit is an adventurous and technical endeavor, providing an unforgettable experience for those seeking an adrenaline rush.

After conquering Mount Kenya, the journey continues with a memorable safari in Lake Nakuru and the world-renowned Maasai Mara National Park. The safari offers an opportunity to witness Kenya’s rich wildlife, including the “Big Five” – lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant, and rhinoceros. The Maasai Mara’s famous annual wildebeest migration is an incredible sight to behold.

Throughout the 11-day expedition, you will also immerse yourself in the Maasai Mara culture, gaining insights into their traditional way of life.
