Every day is packed with excitement and wonder, from the bustling markets of Arusha where you will begin your adventure to the vast plains of the Serengeti. With this safari, we welcome you to experience adventure in the heart of Africa’s most iconic destinations, including Tarangire National Park, also known as the land of the giants, as it is a natural habitat for gigantic elephants and the humongous baobabs, and Lake Manyara National Park. The Ngorongoro Crater, a world heritage site that boasts a high density of resident wildlife, not forgetting the rhinoceros, also features in this ten-day experience. Serengeti is a must-visit destination in Tanzania, and it is included in the itinerary as well, featuring prominently before heading to Lake Natron. This safari has everything for you, from witnessing the majestic elephants of Tarangire, the tree-climbing lions of the Serengeti National Park or the flamingos of Lake Natron. This rather long safari will leave you with memories to cherish forever.

10 Days Tanzania Safari Itinerary Summary

Best time to visit Tanzania for a 10 day safari

Depending on your preferences, just let us know when you want to visit Tanzania for your 10-day safari, and we will take care of your trip planning.

  • Peak season (June–October): Dry weather enhances visibility; ideal for the Serengeti Migration (wildebeest herds crossing rivers). Crowds peak, so book 9–12 months ahead.
  • Shoulder season (November–May): Lusher landscapes, fewer tourists, and lower prices, but expect short rains (avoid heavy downpours in April–May). November–December offers good migration views with green scenery.
  • Tip: Align with your goals—migration chasers should target July–September for river crossings in the northern Serengeti.

The crater is known as “Africa’s Eden” and is regarded as the world’s eighth natural wonder. A visit to this incredible location is the major attraction for visitors to Tanzania, and it is unquestionably a world-class destination!

Large herds of zebra and wildebeest graze within the crater rim, while lions nap and sunbathe close by. After feeding on dew-laden grass in the early mist, the endangered black rhino will return to the dense cover of the crater woods at daybreak.

Maasai herdsmen move their livestock and goats across verdant pastures and up highland slopes just outside the crater’s ridge. They have coexisted with the fauna in this area for millennia.
