While some of these roads may be in poor condition and require a 4-wheel drive vehicle or even walking, the routes to Met Station from Naro Moru Gate and to Old Moses from Sirimon Gate are passable without a 4wd vehicle. However, it is important to check road conditions and weather forecasts before embarking on the journey to ensure a safe and enjoyable trip. From Chogoria town, a 4-wheel drive vehicle is necessary to navigate the 29-kilometer track leading to the Park Gate at 3,000 meters above sea level. Along the way, trekkers may opt to stay at the Meru Mt Kenya Bandas, which offers accommodation options near the Park Gate.
