Tanzania Bush Camps’ collection of intimate, luxury tented camps is 100% owned and managed by indigenous Tanzanians. The management and staff are local experts with decades of experience in hospitality and tourism, bringing authentic warmth, deep wildlife knowledge, and flawless service that only locals can offer. Unlike many foreign-owned lodges, every detail here feels genuinely Tanzanian — from the locally designed metal-and-wood beds and handmade lampshades to the warm duvets and the friendly smiles that greet you with chilled towels and welcome drinks. Each camp blends authentic bush experience with modern luxury: spacious en-suite tents, hot showers, solar power with backup generators, and thoughtfully designed communal areas. Whether you’re chasing the Great Migration, witnessing calving season, or enjoying resident game in Tarangire, these camps put you in the perfect spot with minimal crowds and maximum comfort.

Open Season & Best Wildlife Viewing
Year-round semi-permanent camp.
- April–June: Green season with long rains (mostly at night). Wildebeest herds strengthen and move through Simba Kopjes — prime big-cat action.
- November: Early rains pull herds back to Lobo, Mbuze Mawe, and the Seronera Valley—excellent viewing with fewer crowds.
Central Serengeti – Tembo
Same prime central Serengeti position at Turner’s Extra 8, 15 km north of Seronera—identical strategic placement to Simba for resident game and migration timing. Many guests choose Tembo for its slightly different tent layout or availability.
Accommodation & Amenities
Identical to Simba: 12 luxury en-suite tents with the same high-end finishes, queen beds, private verandas, hot showers, and all the comforts listed above. The only difference is often just availability or minor layout tweaks between the two sister camps in the same area.
Open Season & Best Wildlife Viewing
Exactly the same as Simba—year-round, with peak migration drama in April–June and November.
Korongo Luxury Camp (Tarangire National Park)
Korongo Site inside Tarangire National Park, just 500 metres north of the Matete Picnic Site. This puts you right in the heart of Tarangire’s elephant country and permanent water sources — home to East Africa’s largest elephant herds and excellent dry-season game viewing.
Accommodation
6 intimate luxury en-suite tents (slightly smaller footprint than the Serengeti camps for an even more exclusive feel). Each features the same high standards: queen beds, mosquito nets, hot showers, private verandas, and elegant local design touches.
Amenities & Facilities
Full suite of Tanzania Bush Camps standards — solar power + generator, lounge and dining tents, bar, library, boutique, laundry, campfires, 24-hour security, and personalised service.
Open Season & Best Wildlife Viewing
Year-round.
- April–June: Green season — herds strengthen and move through the eastern corridor with dramatic big-cat sightings.

Ndutu Mobile Camp
Big Marsh area in the Ndutu region of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area (southern Serengeti ecosystem). Perfectly positioned for the calving grounds. Road access: 260 km from Arusha, 77 km from Seronera, 230 km from Kogatende. Accommodation
Spacious modern luxury tents with private verandas, queen beds, en-suite bathrooms with hot showers, and all the signature comforts of the collection. As a true mobile camp, it relocates slightly within Ndutu to follow the herds. Amenities & Facilities

Open Season & Best Wildlife Viewing
Seasonal mobile camp — optimally December to March (calving season).

- March: Herds feed slowly on lush plains; young calves attract lions and leopards.

Kogatende Area, right on the banks of the Mara River in the remote northern Serengeti — the absolute epicentre of the Great Migration river crossings. This enormous wilderness area is almost twice the size of the Masai Mara and far less crowded. Accommodation
