Salinero Serengeti Lodge

Salinero Serengeti Lodge is a canvas-hybrid tented lodge that is built in the Seronera Valley, the true heart of the park, where the plains stretch out forever, and wildlife is thick year-round. It shares the same owners as the Sal Salinero Hotel in Moshi. You’re talking lions lounging on kopjes, leopards in the trees, elephants and giraffes wandering past, cheetahs sprinting across open ground, and huge herds of zebra and wildebeest moving through. The Great Migration passes right nearby from mid-April to June and again from November to December, so you can catch those massive columns of animals without long drives. Even outside migration season, the rivers keep the game concentrated, so every day feels special. The camp itself has that perfect balance of comfort and nature. The tents are raised on platforms with big private decks where you can sit with a coffee and watch zebras or gazelles graze right in front of you. Inside it’s stylish and cosy – king or twin beds with memory-foam mattresses, soft lighting, a seating area, minibar, charging points, and en-suite bathrooms that include a proper bath plus an outdoor walk-in shower under the stars. Location

Salinero Serengeti Lodge is in the Seronera Valley, central Serengeti National Park (coordinates 2°26’58.6″S 34°53’44.3″ E). It sits in a prime wildlife corridor with year-round game and easy access to the migration routes. Seronera Airstrip is only 12.7 km away (about 20-30 minutes’ drive). From Arusha, it’s roughly 360 km by road (5-6 hours) or a 1-hour flight to Seronera, followed by a short transfer. Kilimanjaro International Airport is 275 km away. The central position means you can reach Moru Kopjes, the Grumeti River, and the western plains quickly.

Accommodation

The lodge offers canvas-hybrid tents that feel like proper rooms but keep you close to nature. All have king-size or twin beds, memory-foam mattresses, indoor and outdoor seating, a minibar, charging points, and private balconies with savannah views.
